Ice Cream was an imported idea, which dates back to Nero-Claudius Caesar. It was made with snow that was brought to him by runners from the Alps, to which was added fruit juices, honey and nuts.

A promotional brochure celebrating all things ice cream! This collection of articles about ice cream and novelty trends, along with recipes, vendor profiles and advertisements, was published in the June 27, 1990 issue of the Tennessean newspaper, commemorating July as National Ice Cream Month.
“Save the Sound Of Ice Cream” Petition
A classic example of the ice cream vending industry’s grassroots legislative efforts, this petition called for city council to keep ice cream trucks on the streets. This particular petition is from Vancouver, and is typical of the call to action made by ice cream vendors across North America.
